2010 Bus Trips
April 27 – 30 ~ Memphis, Tennessee. We will spend 4 days/3 nights traveling and exploring Memphis, Tennessee. Hotel accommodations will be at the Holiday Inn Select. The trip will include 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners and many sites in and around Memphis including a city tour, March of the Peabody Ducks, Gibson Guitar Factory, Rock & Soul Museum, Graceland (Platinum Tour), Pink Palace Museum, IMAX show, Sun Studios and Center for Southern Folklore and Café. The cost per person is $685 (single), $570 (double), $525 (triple), & $495 (quad) which includes transportation, hotel accommodations, luggage handling, attractions and 6 meals. Reservations and payments are due by Feb. 22, 2010.
May 19 – Church Basement Ladies– A Second Helping at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse, Rock Island, IL. It is 1969 and the world is changing and the ladies of church prepare for changes of their own below the “House of God”. As always you’ll laugh until your side-dish hurts with their hilarious antics and charm. Prior to the show we will tour the Deere Wiman House & the Butterworth Center, two historic homes connected to the John Deere family. The cost per person is $80.00 which includes transportation, tour, lunch and performance. Reservations and payments are due by April 6th.
June 23 – Our Northern Neighbor, Rockford, IL. We will arrive in Rockford at Midway Village and Museum Center to explore the museum and walk back in time learning about Rockford’s history. After lunch at a local restraurant, we will visit Anderson’s Japanese Gardens followed by a tour to Tinker Swiss Cottage, Museum and Gardens. The cost per person is $81.00 which includes transportation, lunch, and all attractions. Reservations and payment are due by May 6th. July 23 – G.I. Jukebox, Conklin’s Barn II Dinner Theatre, Goodfield, IL. G.I. Jukebox is a terrific night out at the Stage Door Canteen. The cast sings some of the best music of the 20th century in fabulous four-part harmony. The cost per person is $69.00 which includes transportation, dinner and show. Reservations and payment are due by June 10th. August 26 – Tall Ships at Navy Pier, Chicago, IL. We will explore the Tall Ships at the historic Navy Pier and go on an architecture tour of the Windy City. More information on pricing and reservation due date will be announced later.
October 7 – A Taste of Amish County, Arcola, IL. After leaving Princeton at 6 a.m., we will arrive at the Dutch Kitchen in Arcola in time for a breakfast of Biscuits & Gravy. Next we will make a short trip to Tuscola for a candy demonstration & truffle box at Flesor’s Candy Kitchen. Our lunch of homemade bread, soup, salad and pie will be at an Amish home. Next we will travel to Arthur to sample fudge at Shady Crest Orchard and sample cheese at Country Cheese & More. Our final snack will be at Dick’s Pharmacy for your choice of a malted milk or ice cream sundae. The cost per person is $91.00 which includes transportation, attractions and meals or snacks in bold. Reservations and payment are due by Sept. 2nd.
