NON CLINICAL POSITIONS:

Dietary Aide: Dietary Department; 8 hours/week, evenings, and weekends. Applicant will perform a variety of patient food service and dish room duties. Experience in food preparation preferred. Good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

Food Service Worker:  Dietary Department; 32 hours/week and 16 hours/week. Varied hours, varied shifts, and weekends. Applicant preferred to have experience in quantity food preparation, cashiering and have Food Sanitation certificate.   Candidate should have good communications skills and ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                          

Housekeeper: Housekeeping Department; as needed basis (PRN). Evening shifts, Day shifts, and rotating weekend shifts.   Candidate must possess good communication skills and ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment.

NEW! Linen Transporter- Linen Services; PRN, on an as needed basis for evenings and weekends. Applicant must be flexible to changing schedules.   Applicant must provide timely linen collection and accurate delivery services to client facilities; records all deliveries and maintains deliveries in the proper schedule. Class C license required. Good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

NEW! Housekeeper II- Housekeeping; Full Time, 2nd shift with rotating weekends. Applicant will be responsible to clean and service building areas according to established procedures; moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around assigned areas and performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition. Prefer applicant have a working knowledge of floor care procedures.  1 year of housekeeping or floor care experience preferred. Good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.                      

NEW!  Cook: Dietary Department; Full time, 40 hours/week, days, evenings, and weekends. Applicant must be able to prepare, season, and cook food using set procedures for hospital patients, staff, day care, jail, schools, and catering. Experience in quantity food preparation preferred; Food Sanitation certificate preferred. Applicant must has good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

 NEW! Clinical Receptionist: Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic; Full Time, 40 hours/week, days, Monday-Friday. Applicant must be a High school graduate, have computer experience, previous billing and physician office experience, and an understanding of medical terminology. Position will schedule and register patients for physician services, welcome patients, gather current patient information, ensure necessary forms are signed, answer incoming phone call, process patient payments, and pulls charts for daily physician appointments. Applicant must have the ability to type 25 WPM, good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, pay attention to accuracy and detail, good communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with patients and equipment.

NEW!  Clinic Receptionist: Perry Memorial Family Health Clinic; Full time days, varied hours and possible weekends in the future. Applicant must be High School graduate with basic computer experience. Candidate is preferred to have previous experience in physician office telephone customer service and registering/scheduling appointments with medical terminology knowledge. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

 

 CLINICAL POSITIONS        

NEW!  Occupational Therapist: Full Time, 40 hours/week, hours are TBD and some weekends. Applicant must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy; Licensed, must have previous work experience and/or student/clinical affiliations, and actively participate in continuing education courses to contribute to his/her own professional growth and development. Applicant will provide direct patient care in the hospital to inpatients, swing bed patients, and outpatient. Also participates in staff and community education, supervises OT students according to the agreement with the participating school. Must have good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; an understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology.                           

NEW! Technician: Operating Room; Full Time, 40 hours/week, days. Applicant will provide general nursing assistance including the transportation of patients to and from surgery, specimens, and messages; assist with the, lifting, positioning, and moving of patients; assists with surgical preps and other activities as directed; responsible for room cleaning and prompt turn-around between procedures. Applicants will perform secretarial and clerical duties for the Surgery Department. Must be a high school graduate with courses in typing, mathematics, and computers; proficient in English and spelling; valid and current CPR certification. C.N.A. required. Basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; understanding of medical terminology.                                                                       

Registered Nurse:  Operating Room/Surgery; 40 hours/week and 32 hours/week, days, rotating call and weekend call. Applicant must be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family/significant other’s needs and nursing care in the operating room. Assists with preparation of operating room set-up; provides assistance to surgeon and anesthesia personnel; inpatient and outpatient patients; maintains patient safety and coordinates nursing care for patients while under anesthesia. Position requires diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. ACLS Certification preferred and required within one year. PALS preferred. Previous surgery experience preferred. Basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; understanding of medical terminology.                                                                    

 Registered Nurse: Family Acute Care Unit; Part time 24 hours/week 3pm-11pm; rotating weekends. Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; and PALS preferred. Previous pediatric nursing preferred; one year acute care nursing experience preferred. Position requires ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.    

Registered Nurse: ICU and FACU; Part-time, 24 hours/week in ICU, 7pm-7am (2 days/week) and 11pm-7am on weekends in FACU. Applicants must possess an Associate’s Degree in nursing, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing preferred with one year previous acute care nursing experience also preferred. Candidate should have current and valid license with IDPH and ACLS and PALS is preferred and required after one year of employment. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                                                    

Registered Nurse: Emergency Department; 24 hours/week & 36 hours/week, and on an as needed basis, days and evenings; rotating weekends, and on an as needed basis-PRN.  Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; current CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP and ECRN preferred and required after one year of employment; one year of ED experience and one year of acute care nursing experience required.  Candidate must possess basic computer skills, good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.             

Pharmacist:  Pharmacy Department.  Part-time, one weekend per month.  Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program and be licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to practice pharmacy. Candidate will be required to have critical decision making ability in emergency situations; computer word-processing skills; good communications skills and the ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):  Medical Rehabilitation Services.  As-needed PRN position.  Candidate must demonstrate competency in Occupational Therapy through previous work experience and/or student/clinical affiliations; maintenance of competency through active participation in continuing education courses; graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or of OT Assistant; licensed.  Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills with understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Family Acute Care; Full Time, 40 hours/ week 11pm-7am and Part Time, 8 hours/week 11pm-7am, rotating weekends, and Full time, 40 hours/week 7am-3pm. Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed Certified Nurses’ Assistant course; enrollment in a school of nursing program and previous nurse aid experience preferred. Candidate must be willing and able to complete training as required. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Sleep Lab Technician: Respiratory Department; As needed basis. Applicant must have High School diploma or equivalent and successfully completed Sleep Lab training program with current BLS certification. Sleep Lab experience preferred. Applicant must possess good communication skills, ability to work independently.   Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.    

NEW! Clinic Nurse: Perry Memorial Family Health Clinic (Clinic hours 7:00am-7:00pm); Part time, 32 hours/week, flexible hours, possible weekends in the future. Applicant must have diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and current CPR certification required. Candidate preferred to have three years physician office experience. ACLS and PALS also preferred. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment.       

NEW! Registered Nurse: Special Procedures Unit; Part time 16 hours/week, days and weekend call. Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; and CPR, ACLS, and PALS required after one year of employment. Applicant will Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family/significant other’s needs and nursing care; assists with procedures; maintains patient safety and coordinates care; provides health educational needs for patients/family/significant others; demonstrates professional/clinical competency; assists with patient care of all ages and performs other related duties.
