The Perry Memorial Human Resources Department is available to answer questions you may have regarding position openings at Perry Memorial Hospital. You may contact the HR Department at 815-876-4435. Please check our employment opportunities page regularly, as we update it several times a month. Completed applications are kept on hand for 1-year.

Job applications are available at the switchboard at the Emergency Entrance of the hospital or in the HR Department. Human Resources is located on the 4th floor of the Medical Office Building, directly off the elevators. Human Resources Hours are:

Monday – Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm
Fridays 7:00am-4:30pm

NON CLINICAL POSITIONS:

Linen Transporter Float:  Perry Plaza; Part-time afternoons and Sundays when needed.  Class C license required.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

Business Office Director:  Full time, days.  Applicant must have a minimum Bachelor Degree in Business or Healthcare field, hospital business office and/or hospital billing experience required. Candidate must have two years’ experience in a hospital business office supervisory position.  Position requires critical decision making ability in emergency situations, computer skills; knowledge of medical terminology, good communication skills, ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

System Administrator – Technology Services:  Full time days with on call after business hours and weekends as scheduled.  Applicant must have Technical,or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Operations/Science with a technical major. Comp TIA Server+ or Network+ certification preferred or minimum of 4- years’ experience with system administration, software installation, maintenance, compatibility, and troubleshooting required.  Candidate should have 4 years’ experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems, word processing, access and spreadsheet programs required; CCNA certification preferred; 2 years’ experience with VMWare Hypervisor.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

Dietary Aide:  Dietary Department:  8 hours a week, varied hours and shifts, weekends.  Applicant preferred to have experience in quantity food preparation.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

HousekeeperHousekeeping Department:  24 hours a week, days, includes Saturdays.  Applicant must possess High School diploma or equivalent.  Candidate must possess good communication skills and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

 Registrar – Business Office:  24 hours a week, varied shifts,  every other weekend.  Applicant must possess High School diploma or equivalent; have computer experience and ability to work varying shifts.  Candidate must have ability to type 25 wpm with accuracy and attention to detail and will cover for switchboard as well.  Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, and excellent customer service skills are required.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

 Delivery Technician/Customer Service:  Perry Home Medical Supply; As needed, days with on call rotation.  Applicant must be High School graduate; DME experience preferred; one year experience in HME setting or equipment maintenance and repair with clinical and/or medical experience preferred.  Candidate must have CNA or Medical Technician training preferred; valid, current CPR certification and valid current driver’s license.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Telepage Operator:  As needed basis.  Applicant must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.  Candidate must have basic computer skills with ability to work unsupervised.  Previous switchboard experience preferred.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

 CLINICAL POSITIONS:

Ultrasound Technologist:  Radiology Department, Full Time with weekend and evening call.  Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology; registered A.R.R.T. or R.T.; licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.  RVT is required.  Registered Echo Technologist preferred or willing to become registered.  Candidate must possess knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, good communication skills, and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; and motor coordination to work with equipment.

RN-OB – Full time 7 pm to 7 am, every other weekend.  Applicant must possess Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and have valid and current license with IDPR.  Candidate preferred to have Neonatal Resuscitations Program, and will be required after one year of employment.  Must have completion of basic fetal monitoring course.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Registered Nurse:  Emergency Department:  24 hours per week, evenings, rotating weekends.  Applicants must possess an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; current CPR, ACLS, PALS, ECRN, TNCC preferred and required after one year of employment. One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.  Candidate must possess basic computer skills, good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently.  Positions require ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Cardiac Rehab RN – Medical Rehab Department:  PRN  Applicant must possess Associate of Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; one year of recent and relevant experience in a Coronary Care or intensive care setting or Cardiac Rehabilitation and current, valid license with IDPR.  Candidate must have current CPR and ACLS certifications.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

Certified Nursing Assistant:  Family Acute Care; Part time nights,32hours a week, AND Part time evenings, 24 hours a week; rotating weekends.  Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed Certified Nurses’ Assistant course; enrollment in a school of nursing program and previous nurse aid experience preferred.  Candidate must be willing and able to complete training as required.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Registered Nurse:  Family Acute Care Unit; Part-time, 24 hours AND 32 hours a week night shift AND 24 hours a week evenings; rotating weekends.  Applicant must possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; ACLS and PALS preferred.  Position requires ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

  Speech-Language Therapist:  Rehabilitation Services.  As-needed basis, possible Saturdays.  Graduate of an approved school of Speech Therapy; licenses or license eligible in the State of Illinois as required by law.  Good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment and understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology. 

 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / Occupational Therapist:  Medical Rehabilitation Services; As-Needed Basis.  Candidate must demonstrate competency in Occupational Therapy through previous work experience and/or student/clinical affiliations; maintenance of competency through active participation in continuing education courses; graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or of OT Assistant; licensed.  Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills with understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.
