NON CLINICAL POSITIONS:

NEW!  Central Scheduler:  Business Office; Full Time, 40 hours/week, days. Applicant must have the ability to type 25 WPM; accuracy and attention to detail is required; good communications skills including ability to communicate with a diverse patient demographic base; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with patients and equipment. Computer experience, knowledge of anatomy and strong medical terminology knowledge, ability to read and comprehend medical records basic mathematical skills are preferred. Applicant would be responsible for scheduling patients for hospital services, computes patient financial responsibility and informs patients of their responsibility, and verifies that diagnosis provided and testing orders meets Medicare’s National/Local Coverage Determinations (NCD/LCD) prior to scheduling and testing in an effort to reduce denials by Medicare.

Food Service Worker:  Dietary Department; 32 hours/week. Varied hours, varied shifts, and weekends. Applicant preferred to have experience in quantity food preparation, cashiering and have Food Sanitation certificate.   Candidate should have good communications skills and ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                                    

Housekeeper: Housekeeping Department; as needed basis (PRN), various shifts and rotating weekend shifts. Candidate must possess good communication skills and ability to work independently. Registrar: Business Office; Part Time, 16 hours/week, varied hours, must be available to work weekends. Applicant must possess High School diploma or equivalent; have computer experience and ability to work varying shifts. Candidate must have ability to type 25 wpm with accuracy and attention to detail and will cover for switchboard as well. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, and excellent customer service skills are required. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.  

 

 CLINICAL POSITIONS

NEW!  Technician: Emergency Department, 8 hours/week, evenings. Applicant must have one year experience as nursing assistant in an acute care facility; valid and current CPR certification; certification as a nursing assistant; EKG class within one year of employment; EEG training within one year of employment. Position requires basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team setting; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; understanding of medical terminology.                                                                                       

NEW! Registered Nurse:  Operating Room/Surgery; 40 hours/week and 32 hours/week, days, rotating call and weekend call. Applicant must be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family/significant other’s needs and nursing care in the operating room. Assists with preparation of operating room set-up; provides assistance to surgeon and anesthesia personnel; inpatient and outpatient patients; maintains patient safety and coordinates nursing care for patients while under anesthesia. Position requires diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. ACLS Certification preferred and required within one year. PALS preferred. Previous surgery experience preferred. RECENTLY UPDATED! Registered Nurse: Family Acute Care Unit; Part time 32 hours/week 3pm-11pm; and 24 hours/week 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am; rotating weekends. Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; and PALS preferred. Previous pediatric nursing preferred; one year acute care nursing experience preferred. Position requires ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.      

RECENTLY UPDATED! Registered Nurse: ICU and FACU; Part-time, 24 hours/week in ICU, 7pm-7am (2 days/week) and 11pm-7am on weekends in FACU. Applicants must possess an Associate’s Degree in nursing, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing preferred with one year previous acute care nursing experience also preferred. Candidate should have current and valid license with IDPH and ACLS and PALS is preferred and required after one year of employment.  RN Coordinator:  Emergency Department; Full time, days. Applicant must have Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; one year of previous experience in ED; current and valid license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation; current CPR, PALS, ACLS, TNCC or TNS, NRP and ECRN certifications preferred and required after one year of employment. Supervision experience and critical care nursing experience are preferred. Position requires critical decision making ability in emergency situations, excellent communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

Clinic Nurse: Perry Memorial Family Health Clinic; Full time, days. Applicant must have diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and current CPR certification required. Candidate preferred to have three years physician office experience. ACLS and PALS also preferred. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                                                                       

RECENTLY UPDATED! Registered Nurse: Emergency Department; 24 hours/week and 36 hours/week, days and evenings; rotating weekends, and on an as needed basis-PRN.  Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; current CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP and ECRN preferred and required after one year of employment; one year of ED experience and one year of acute care nursing experience required.  Candidate must possess basic computer skills, good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.           

Pharmacist:  Pharmacy Department.  Part-time, one weekend per month.  Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program and be licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to practice pharmacy. Candidate will be required to have critical decision making ability in emergency situations; computer word-processing skills; good communications skills and the ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment.

 Speech-Language Therapist:  Rehabilitation Services; As-needed PRN position, possible Saturdays.  Graduate of an approved school of Speech Therapy; licenses or license eligible in the State of Illinois as required by law.  Good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment and understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology. 

Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):  Medical Rehabilitation Services.  As-needed PRN position.  Candidate must demonstrate competency in Occupational Therapy through previous work experience and/or student/clinical affiliations; maintenance of competency through active participation in continuing education courses; graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or of OT Assistant; licensed.  Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills with understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

NEW! Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Family Acute Care; 32 hours/ week 3pm-11am, rotating weekends. Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed Certified Nurses’ Assistant course; enrollment in a school of nursing program and previous nurse aid experience preferred. Candidate must be willing and able to complete training as required. NEW! Registered Nurse: House Supervisor; 16 hours/week, varied hours and weekends as needed. Applicant must have a Bachelor of Science Degree or Associates Diploma in Nursing; three years of clinical experience; current C.P.R. training; licensed Registered Nurse by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation; certification or specialized clinical training, i.e., ACLS, PALS, preferred. Applicant would be responsible for the supervision of the Nursing Services as a whole during the shift, facilitates the operation of the Nursing Services Department and is responsible for staff assignments, inter- and intra- departmental problem solving; organizes, implements and supervises (evaluates) patient care activities. Sleep Lab Technician: Respiratory Department; As needed basis. Applicant must have High School diploma or equivalent and successfully completed Sleep Lab training program with current BLS certification. Sleep Lab experience preferred.
