NON CLINICAL POSITIONS:

NEW!   Medical Records Coordinator: Medical Records, Full Time, Days. Applicant must be a certified coder with knowledge/training of ICD-10, two years’ experience working in medical records department, experience in a coding position, supervision experience preferred, competent in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office program, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Linen Transporter- Linen Services; as needed basis (PRN), evenings and weekends. Applicant must be flexible to changing schedules.   Applicant must provide timely linen collection and accurate delivery services to client facilities; records all deliveries and maintains deliveries in the proper schedule. Class C license required. Good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.                

Certified Coder: Medical Records; Temporary position, weekly hours will fluctuate, days. Applicant must be a High school graduate with courses in keyboarding; anatomy and physiology and computer experience required; Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Assistant (CCA) required. Applicant must also have knowledge of medical terminology, diseases and procedures; knowledge of principal diagnosis and complications/comorbidities; knowledge of laboratory and x-ray interpretations and usage of medications; knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding; knowledge of revenue cycle; good communication skills; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment and files.      

UPDATED!  Customer Service Representative: Radiology Department; Full Time, 6:30am-3:00pm & no weekends. Applicant must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent, experience with customer service, and experience in word processing and with data entry. Responsibilities include; greet patients, checking patients in, computer entry, scheduling patient exams, and answering telephone calls.  Applicant must have good communication skills; computer skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; knowledge of medical terminology.

 

 CLINICAL POSITIONS    

NEW!  Medical Technologist/Technician: Laboratory Department; 16 hours/week, evenings and rotating weekends.  Applicant must either be licensed and registered as an Medical Laboratory Technician by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or Register Clinical Laboratory Assistant with and Associates Degree or have a Baccalaureate Degree and be licensed and registered as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.  Candidate must have critical decision making ability in emergency situations, computer word-processing skills, good communication skills and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment. 

NEW! Technician-Sterile Processing Technician Level I:  Perioperative Services; 32 hours/week, days and occasional call.  Applicant must be a high school graduate and have hospital setting knowledge.  Perry allows applicants 18 months to complete the required CRCST certification.  Applicant will process, dispense, and receive supplies and equipment while practicing safe and economical handling and dispensing methods.   Applicant will participate in the maintenance and safety of equipment; sterilizes equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and techniques. Applicant will assist in checking stock and storage and participate in studies related to the department.  Position requires numerical and clerical ability; knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures; basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; understanding of medical terminology.

UPDATED! Registered Nurse:  Intensive Care Unit; Part-time, 24 hours/week, 7a-7p or 7p-7a and 36 hours/week, 7pm-7am. Applicants must possess an Associate’s Degree in nursing, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing preferred with one year previous acute care nursing experience also preferred.  Candidate should have current and valid license with IDPH and ACLS and PALS is preferred and required after one year of employment.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                            

Registered Nurse:  Operating Room/Surgery; 32 hours/week, days, rotating call and weekend call. Applicant must be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family/significant other’s needs and nursing care in the operating room. Assists with preparation of operating room set-up; provides assistance to surgeon and anesthesia personnel; inpatient and outpatient patients; maintains patient safety and coordinates nursing care for patients while under anesthesia. Position requires diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. ACLS Certification preferred and required within one year. PALS preferred. Previous surgery experience preferred. Basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; understanding of medical terminology.                                                                    

UPDATED! Registered Nurse:   Family Acute Care Unit; Part time, 24 hours/week and 8 hours/week, shifts available: 3pm-11pm & 11pm-7am; rotating weekends. Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; and PALS preferred.  Previous pediatric nursing preferred; one year acute care nursing experience preferred.  Position requires ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                                                        

Registered Nurse:  Emergency Department; 8 hours/week, evenings with rotating weekends, and on an as needed basis-PRN.  Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; current CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP and ECRN preferred and required after one year of employment; one year of ED experience and one year of acute care nursing experience required.  Candidate must possess basic computer skills, good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Pharmacist:  Pharmacy Department.  PRN, one weekend per month.  Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program and be licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to practice pharmacy. Candidate will be required to have critical decision making ability in emergency situations; computer word-processing skills; good communications skills and the ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):  Medical Rehabilitation Services, as needed basis, PRN).  Candidate must demonstrate competency in Occupational Therapy through previous work experience and/or student/clinical affiliations; maintenance of competency through active participation in continuing education courses; graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or of OT Assistant; licensed.  Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills with understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Sleep Lab Technician: Respiratory Department, as needed basis (PRN).  Applicant must have High School diploma or equivalent and successfully completed Sleep Lab training program with current BLS certification. Sleep Lab experience preferred. Applicant must possess good communication skills, ability to work independently.   Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.    

UPDATED! Clinic RN/LPN: Perry Memorial Family Health Clinic (Clinic hours 7:00am-7:00pm); full time, 40 hours/week, flexible hours, possible weekends in the future.  RN applicants must have diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing and both RN/LPN must have a valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.  A current CPR certification required.  Candidate preferred to have three years physician office experience.  ACLS and PALS also preferred.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment.    

Respiratory Therapist: Respiratory Care; part time, 24 hours/week, 11pm-7am and rotating weekends and PRN.  Applicant must be a Graduate of a two year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.  Must be able to Set up, operate, and maintain various types of cardiopulmonary equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary disease, acute pulmonary illness and metabolic disorder.  Applicant must be Registered or Certified with the National Board of Respiratory Care; have good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.       

NEW! Clinical RN Coordinator: Family Health Clinic (Clinic hours 7:00am-7:00pm); full time, 40 hours/week, flexible hours, possible weekends in the future. Applicant must have a diploma, Associates or Bachelors of Science in Nursing, five years previous experience in outpatient nursing, current and valid license with the IL Dept. of Professional Regulation; current CPR, PALS, and ACLS certification or required after one year of employment. Applicant will be responsible for a leadership role that supports the Clinical Director, and serves as a clinical resource consultant for staff and clinic. Applicant must demonstrate professional and clinical competency in a rural health clinic setting.

Position provides general assistance as delegated by the Registered Professional Nurse and/or Provider Staff.  Applicant must have one year experience as medical assistance in a medical office; valid and current CPR certification required; certification as a medical assistant and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
