Business Office Director: Business Office Department; Full time. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, or Associates degree in Business or related field; hospital business office/billing experience and at least 5-years supervisory experience required. Applicant must be able to plan, direct, organize, and coordinate the operation of the Business Office, Admitting Office, Telepage areas and Outpatient Registration Office; direct and implement the hospital’s Admission, Business Office, and communication policies; implement new programs and procedures to improve service operations; establish department goals and provides direction regarding department priorities and standards. Position requires critical decision making ability in emergency situations; Computer skills; knowledge of medical terminology; good communication skills; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with patients and equipment.. NON CLINICAL POSITIONS:

Food Service Worker:  Dietary Department; 32 hours/week and 16 hours/week. Varied hours, varied shifts, and weekends. Applicant preferred to have experience in quantity food preparation, cashiering and have Food Sanitation certificate.   Candidate should have good communications skills and ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                          

Housekeeper: Housekeeping Department; as needed basis (PRN) & 32hrs/week, evening shifts and rotating weekend shifts. Candidate must possess good communication skills and ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Registrar: Business Office; Part Time, 16 hours/week, varied hours, must be available to work weekends. Applicant must possess High School diploma or equivalent; have computer experience and ability to work varying shifts. Candidate must have ability to type 25 wpm with accuracy and attention to detail and will cover for switchboard as well. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, and excellent customer service skills are required. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.  

NEW! Clerical Support: Care Management; Part time 32 hours/week, Monday-7:30am-4:00pm and Tuesday-Friday 8:300am-3:00pm. Applicant must be a High School graduate. Applicant must provide data entry functions relating to Utilization Review activities; provides Inpatient pre-certification by notifying third party payers; provides clinical information to third party payers; facilitates the coding process by obtaining and documenting working diagnosis and applicable codes through communication with coder staff; member of the Care Management Team; provides data and charts for Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement programs. Applicant must possess basic computer skills; ability to navigate an electronic medical record preferred; working knowledge of medical terminology; good interpersonal communication skills; good customer service skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions.

NEW! Billing Clerk: Business Office; Part time, days. Applicant must be High School graduate with computer and accounting or cashier experience preferred. Candidate should have ability to type 25 wpm accurately with attention to detail required. Applicant is preferred to have an understanding of hospital and hospital-based clinic billing, insurance follow-up experience including Medicare/Medicaid and familiarity with EOB’s. Medical terminology preferred. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.      

 NEW! Rehab Receptionist II: Rehab Services; Part Time, 26 hours/week. Monday 11am-5pm and Tuesday-Friday 11:00am-4:00pm. Position will be responsible for contacting patient’s insurance to verify coverage, educate patients on insurance, maintain accurate patient insurance records, current scripts, certifications, authorized visits, and dollar limits, schedule and register patient for appointments, make sure documents are filled out correctly, and answers phones. Applicant must be a High School Graduate, have computer experience, understand medical terminology, and have experience working with health insurance is a preferred. Position requires ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment. 

NEW! Linen Transporter- Linen Services; Part Time, 15 hours/week; Friday and Sunday nights, 3:30pm-10:00pm and Monday mornings from 7:30am-10:30am and on an as needed basis (PRN) for evenings and weekends. Applicant must be flexible to changing schedules.  Applicant must provide timely linen collection and accurate delivery services to client facilities; records all deliveries and maintains deliveries in the proper schedule. Class C license required. Good communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                    

NEW! Housekeeper II- Housekeeping; Full Time, 2nd shift with rotating weekends. Applicant will be responsible to clean and service building areas according to established procedures; moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around assigned areas and performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition. Prefer applicant have a working knowledge of floor care procedures.  1 year of housekeeping or floor care experience preferred.  CLINICAL POSITIONS                                                                                                          

Registered Nurse:  Operating Room/Surgery; 40 hours/week and 32 hours/week, days, rotating call and weekend call. Applicant must be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family/significant other’s needs and nursing care in the operating room. Assists with preparation of operating room set-up; provides assistance to surgeon and anesthesia personnel; inpatient and outpatient patients; maintains patient safety and coordinates nursing care for patients while under anesthesia. Position requires diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. ACLS Certification preferred and required within one year. PALS preferred. Previous surgery experience preferred. Basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions; understanding of medical terminology.                                                                    

 Registered Nurse: Family Acute Care Unit; Part time 32 hours/week 3pm-11pm; and 24 hours/week 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am; rotating weekends. Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; and PALS preferred. Previous pediatric nursing preferred; one year acute care nursing experience preferred. Position requires ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.      

Registered Nurse: ICU and FACU; Part-time, 24 hours/week in ICU, 7pm-7am (2 days/week) and 11pm-7am on weekends in FACU. Applicants must possess an Associate’s Degree in nursing, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing preferred with one year previous acute care nursing experience also preferred. Candidate should have current and valid license with IDPH and ACLS and PALS is preferred and required after one year of employment. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.                                                                                    

Registered Nurse: Emergency Department; 24 hours/week and on an as needed basis, days and evenings; rotating weekends, and on an as needed basis-PRN.  Applicant must possess Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing; valid and current license with IDPR; current CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP and ECRN preferred and required after one year of employment; one year of ED experience and one year of acute care nursing experience required.  Candidate must possess basic computer skills, good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.              

Pharmacist:  Pharmacy Department.  Part-time, one weekend per month.  Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program and be licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to practice pharmacy. Candidate will be required to have critical decision making ability in emergency situations; computer word-processing skills; good communications skills and the ability to work independently. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):  Medical Rehabilitation Services.  As-needed PRN position.  Candidate must demonstrate competency in Occupational Therapy through previous work experience and/or student/clinical affiliations; maintenance of competency through active participation in continuing education courses; graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or of OT Assistant; licensed.  Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills with understanding of rehabilitation and medical terminology and ability to work independently.  Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Family Acute Care; 32 hours/ week 3pm-11am, rotating weekends. Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed Certified Nurses’ Assistant course; enrollment in a school of nursing program and previous nurse aid experience preferred. Candidate must be willing and able to complete training as required. Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling, ability to understand oral/written instructions and motor coordination to work with equipment.    

 Registered Nurse: House Supervisor; 16 hours/week, varied hours and weekends as needed. Applicant must have a Bachelor of Science Degree or Associates Diploma in Nursing; three years of clinical experience; current C.P.R. training; licensed Registered Nurse by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation; certification or specialized clinical training, i.e., ACLS, PALS, preferred. Applicant would be responsible for the supervision of the Nursing Services as a whole during the shift, facilitates the operation of the Nursing Services Department and is responsible for staff assignments, inter- and intra- departmental problem solving; organizes, implements and supervises (evaluates) patient care activities. Position requires critical decision making ability in emergency situations. Basic computer skills; good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment; ability to understand oral/written instructions.      

Sleep Lab Technician: Respiratory Department; As needed basis. Applicant must have High School diploma or equivalent and successfully completed Sleep Lab training program with current BLS certification. Sleep Lab experience preferred. Applicant must possess good communication skills, ability to work independently.   Position requires ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with equipment.

Position provides general assistance as delegated by the Registered Professional Nurse and/or Provider Staff. Applicant must have one year experience as medical assistance in a medical office; valid and current CPR certification required; certification as a medical assistant and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
